Stormy Kind Of Saturday...

It seems as this weekend is going to be quite stormy.. not a complete washout, but still enough to not make it interesting trying to time it just right to get some things done outside in between storms. So far, it has stormed a total of 5 times and it is just early afternoon. The great thing is that this weather has made the cannas larger and closer to blooming out. The bad thing is that the grass is growing in places where you to not want it to. So by the time it dries out enough to get anything done with flower gardens, the grass is going to be bad.

The good thing is that the chickens are still laying eggs, which I love because the store egg prices are quite pricey. Planning to expand the flock and create a large outdoor space where they can enjoy some outdoor space. With eagles, ospreys, hawks, and stray animals (yes people are still throwing out dogs just down the road), it is often too dangerous to turn the chickens out. So the idea I have is to build a well built fenced area, that has netting across the top to prevent eagles and such from killing the chickens. That way they will be safe and not have to worry about the flocks safety. Well.. off to finish getting some outdoor chores done before the heavy rains arrive. Until next post... May God bless!!
